Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
constructive eviction
Above my carport there is a hive of bees. I've notified the management at least 4 times over the last 2.5 months and still the bees are thriving. I am concerned for my family's health- including that of my 3 month old baby! Am I able to break my lease and leave?

Re: constructive eviction
I, too, thought bees were disappearing.
Write landlord certified letter, and give him/her 7 days to get rid of the bees, or you are breaking lease and moving.

Get an estimate from a beekeeper for removing the hive, and present it to management. Obviously, you can't safely use the carport. Can you get another space away from the bees? I thought bees were disappearing. This is good news, at least in that sense.
