Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Court Judgement against my Landlord is still not payed
Two years ago I one a judgement against my landlord for security and pain suffering for entering my home while i was gone and entered once when my husband was gone. He resceduled our court date two times,or appeared in court. He still has not paid and has placed his property in his wifes name. I did not sue her because he claimed they are not married. What steps should I take to get my money back. I also do not think he payed consequence for violating my rights.

You need to obtain a writ to proceed against the assets of the landlord. A debtor examination whereby you bring in the landlord and question him should flush out the assets. Any transactions where he moved assets to his wife may be a fraudulent transfer and reversible by the court.
