Your landlord likely will file an unlawful detainer lawsuit against you after the three days lapse. The court record will be sealed for 60 days, so that, during that time, you can try to work something out or find another place without fear of an eviction being on your credit report while you look for a new place to live. Once you receive an unlawful detainer lawsuit, you will have five days to file an answer or other responsive pleading. Then a trial will be set within two or three weeks (usually). If the landlord wins, then the sheriff might be pounding on your door in another week or two and evict you and everyone else.
