Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

A former disgruntled tenant is filing false reports on Craigslist in order to prevent new tenants from renting from me. The reports are full of untruths and have cost me two new tenants. Do I have any recourse?

If they are false, and you have damages you can prove, sue them for defamation.
