disturbing the peace

the landlord at my sisters aparments said that the noise level must be lowerd by 7:00 p.m., my sister and husbend are both deaf and have a hearing child, who is not deaf, and cane get very loud. can they be evicted if the noise goes on past 7:00 p.m. ?

Normally, the landlord can make rules to regulate noise and reduce tenant friction. However, since the tenants are disabled, they are entitled to request a reasonable accommodation for their disability. If they were not deaf they presumably could quiet their child more easily.

Have them ask in writing for an exception to this rule. It is entirely proper to negotiate for something they can do to reduce noise even if it is not exactly what the landlord requested.
