Disturbing the peace-noise nuisence

Is there any case law focusing on one neighbor suing another over constant instances of excessive noise and/or disturbing the peace?

Yes, it is called nuisance. You may be able to get an injunction prohibiting the offending conduct, especially if a law is being violted (i.e, a noise ordinance). However, such lawsuits are expensive. Be prepared to put out at least $5,000 in attorney fees.
