Getting out early
A friend and I have an apartment together, with both of our names on the lease. I'm looking to leave early and my roommate has possible tenants already lined up. Is it possible to sign over my half of the lease to a new tenant without still being held responsible?

You have obligtaions to the landlord. You'll also have to get his/her written agreement to be released from the lease.
