Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Evicting my roomate
I am trying to evict my roomate. We have no written contract, but are on a month-month basis. I have given her 2 30/day notices, which she refuses to sign. however she has given me a written letter stating she will be out by the end of the month. But what if she isn't? What is the next step?

Re: Evicting my roomate
You will have to file an unlawful detainer lawsuit. You should consider very seriously hiring an attorney because evictions are not easy, and given that you are in the same home with this person, an attorney can help to difuse some of the problems you may run into.
