Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I am evicting a tenant in my home who owns a dog. He is demanding me to board the dog indefinitely. I do not wish to do this.I asked him to leave with his dog. The dog has access to both outside and inside the house. I do not wish to have dog food outside after dark to attract rats, etc. and he will not bring the food or feed the dog inside the house. He refuses to feed the dog or take care of it. He is deliberately not giving the dog any attention and comes back very late or not at all. He has completely rejected the dog. Since I'm concerned about the dogs welfare, I find it very difficult to ignore the dog. I am home most of the time and the dog is bonding with me and now he is telling me the dog has changed and won't listen to him. Legally, what can he do. What are my rights as a landlord?
