Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Eviction on Credit Report

I was evicted because I was a month to month tenant and the landlord didn't want me to stay there anymore. I stayed past the 60 days, and was subsequently evicted as I felt it was retaliatory; however, the judge only ordered that I get out, no monies, back rent or anything as I was not in arrears. Will this show up on my credit report even though I don't owe any money.

Re: Eviction on Credit Report

Almost certainly.

The lawsuit was won by landlord, even though the judge didn't award money.

You lost, unfortunately!

You are entitled to write 100 words of explanation next to your eviction in your credit reports. Explain there why you feel this was retaliatory.
