Re: looking for help

Go to the court house and look up the file to see what information it has. Look to see on the service of process what it says about how and when you were served and the physical description, if any that, it gives of you. If you can show any of that is false, go to the landlord and point that out and that the process server lied to you. Tell him you have grounds to set aside the default because the court had no jurisdiction over you as you were not served.

Try to reason with the landlord and get him to agree to support your motion to vacant judgment or whatever is necessary to remove the eviction. At least get a signed declaration from him that the eviction was not properly taken.

He will probably refuse. Then go to the local tenant's right organization and see what they suggest; your probably is that you are looking now for a place to rent and any legal remedy will take several months. perhaps others can give you better advise.
