Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I feel I am being wrongfully evicted from my apartment complex, and I have evidence to prove I have been being harrassed and this has been an on going problem. What are the first steps I can take legally?

If you have been given notice, you need to respond. If you have been served with an unlawful detainer, you need to consult and attorney and promptly answer the summons and complaint. Basically harassment is easy to allege and difficult to prove. Consult an attorney or housing specialist in your community. Also review the California Department of Consumer Affairs Landlord-Tenant Manual. It is on-line and very, very helpful.
