Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
me, my ex, and her friend lived in a house (we are on the lease). she dumped me and left us. i was in a hurry so i told my "best friend" to move in (we didn't let the managers know, though it was required) and he messed the place up. i decided to kick everyone out and see how much we owed. it came out to 4000. we didn't do nothing about it till collections called me and asked for the money. i was trying to round up everyone to see what to do but it was too late. now collections is suing us. im trying to work out a plan to pay collections but my ex wont answer my calls. right now, my income is higher than both of my old room mates.
what is the best thing to do when dealing with an ex who doesnt care, a friend who messed up the house while not being on a lease, and me making the most money out of the 2 room mates?

You'll have to sue them when the LL sues you. Good luck.
