Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Garbage service who's responsible?

I have been paying for garbage at the duplex that I have been renting. I keep hearing that the landlord is responsible for paying it. Who is legally responsible?

If there is no provision in the lease to the contrary, landlord is responsible.

Depends upon what your lease says. There is nothing in California that says the landlord has to pay for your utilites.
