Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

guest overstayed his welcome...need him out

I co-signed into a lease on an

apartment with one other roomate

last august. Soon after his brother

moved in without joining the lease.

Since then he has become rude,

volatile, and very hostile. I would like

him to leave but he still has the

permission of his brother. Do i have

the right to make him leave even if

he has the permission of the other

roommate? I feel unwelcome and

unsafe in my own house. if not

is there a way i can get out of the

lease while retaining my security

deposit? He has already refused to

take over my share of the lease

seeing as he cant afford the rent. I
