Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

No Hot Water

We been living in our apartment for over six months and our water heater exploded. The apartment complex replaced it but he had no hot water. We called them over ten times and on the tenth time they finally fixed it. We were without hot water for over a month and want to know if there is any action we can take to get reimbursed for the thirty plus days without hot water.

Re: No Hot Water

The rent should be reduced to compensate. A search of the building code also needs to be done to determine whether or not the premises were inhabitable durig such time as if so, then no rent can be collected for the period. Contact me directly.
