Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Is it illegal for someone to take pictures of a person's property (the inside) even if you give them permission to be inside your house?
the person's purpose to go inside the house is to check the apartment out and see what needs to be fixed, the person then discovered something not relevant to what he said he was going to look at, so then he was touching and taking things off when it was set the way it is and then snap a photo.

I'm not a privacy expert, so you may wish to consult with an attorney who handles cases in this field, but if someone is invited into your property, and allowed to take pictures of anything, if you were not there to tell them the limits of what they may photograph, I think you may have waived your right to complain about the pictures. You also have to prove damages to assert a claim against the person who took the photos. Simply by virtue of having taken photos of some of your property, you do not necessarily have any damages which would be the basis for any legal claims.
