Re: judgement collection

If you know the tenant's place of employment, you can attach his wages. If you know his bank account, you can levy on it. Please contact us if yo need further assistance.

Re: judgement collection

Were you able to evict the tenant? If you haven't done that yet, bring the have the court issue a writ of possession, bring it to the sheriff/marshal, and that office will give you a lockout date.

If you also received a money judgment, if you know the former tenant's bank account information, you can bring a copy of an issued writ of execution to the sheriff and ask the sheriff to levy on all accounts held in the tenant(s)' name(s) at XX bank until the judgment is satisfied. You will have to pay the sheriff's fee, however, which the sheriff will attempt to recover from the levy. In addition, you can have the sheriff attempt to levy against the tenant's wages if you know where the tenant(s) are employed.

Re: judgement collection

Mr. Cohen has given you an excellent answer.

I would just add that you can also retain a collection agency, which will do everything for you, but also take up to 50% of your recovery, or hire a collection attorney... depending on how easy or hard it easy to find assets.
