kicking out a roommate not on lease

i have a roommate not on a lease who pays me monthly(i am on lease) he was asked to leave and wriiten notice was given but wont leave. what can i do? he lives in the livingroom and leaves door unlocked and food out.

It sounds that you need to commence eviction against the roommate as a subtenant. If you do not want to use an attorney, I recommend that you go to the website for your local superior court - they should have a self-help link with forms and instructions on how to properly evict your roommate. Delivery of a Notice to Quit may be enough to get him to leave before having to file an Unlawful Detainer action.
