If your property is covered by the LA Rent Stabilization Ordinance, the LA Municipal Code sets forth a fee schedule for the landlord to pay when seeking to recover possession for himself or herself. If it is not covered, the landlord must give you the required notice and, if you have a rental agreement for a period of time, then the compensation will be whatever you are able to negotiate with the landlord.
