Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My landlord and I went to court. I settled with his attorney that I would owe not back rent and I would move out by Sept 2nd. I have not found a place and 2 days after I signed the Stipulation in court there was a notice of Trustee Sale posted on the door for Sept 10th. My question is if I do not move, by the time the landlord goes to the sherrif and the sherrif post a notice to vacate, the date to vacate will be after the sale of property. Do I have to go down to Sherriff myself and inform them that landlord no longer owns property? Is there any way to stop it?

You might want to contact the landlord's lawyer and explain the circumstances and seek a further extension, perhaps by paying the rent equivalent for the time beyond September 2. You might also go into court ex parte to seek a stay of eviction because of hardship. The court might require that you post the reasonable rental value for the additional time you're staying in the property, though.
