Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My landlord created and issused a new parking space right in front of my assigned parking space(perpendicular to my space). In doing so he has made it impossible for me to get out of my space when my neighbors are parked in their assigned spaces. Is this legal? How much clearnace is required for me to get out of my space?

Since having a parking space was part of your rental agreement, you are clearly entitled to have one that is usable. You should not be charged rent for that pat of the overall rent that is from the parking space.
