Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Is a landlord able to still deduct from my security deposit after the 21 days allowed by law? As I am writing this today it is 50 days since I moved out and the landlord gave me POSTDATED check for December 28, 2011, which will be 55 days past the deadline. She is trying to deduct $925 worth of cleaning and repairs out of my $1275 deposit.

No. If she missed the deadline she has to give you all your deposit back.
