Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Landlord entering leased condo.

The landlord has called and said he will be down this weekend to do some maintenance and go into the garage. He comes to the door and unlockes the screen door, when I opened the house door and said,''What are you doing''? He handed me a piece of paper no letterhead just dated and stateing that he was going to sell the property and if we would comply to his 24hr notices for prospective buyers to view. Is a landlord legally allowed to enter our condo without our permission ie,. anytime he wants? We have 7 more months on the lease. Thank you.

Re: Landlord entering leased condo.

They are required to give you 24 hors notice to show the property during normal business hours. Furhtermore, unless allowed by the lease, they cannot evict you when they sell the property.
