Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
My landlord has sent me an itemized list of charges upon my move out and I want to dispute the amounts. They are far beyond my security deposit and they seem quite inflated. Most charges are specified in the lease as things I would be responsible for, but the amounts seem excessive.

You should review the alleged charges and ask for documentation. Review the California Landlord Tenant handbook. It is at the California Department of Consumer Affairs website. If you are not satisfied that the charges are valid, you should consider suing the landlord/management company in Small Claims Court.
