Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
My former landlord is keeping my security deposit because she claims that there are damaged items that were not reported. They were reported, they just weren't fixed. What can I do?

Wait 21 days from the date of your move out. If the landlord does not give you a refund or an itemized list showing deductions, then she can't keep any of your deposit. Demand immediate payment then file in small claims court if she doesn't pay.
