Is my landlord required to keep oven in working order during my tenancy of 10 years

You have to look to the language of the lease as to who has that obligation. If the landlord bought the stove and the contract does not say you must keep it in working order or that he has no responsibility to do so, then it is his obligation to keep the premises in the same general condition it was in when the lease originally started, so he would have to replace the oven. If he stated that his was providing an oven but it was your duty to maintain it, then you would have to replace it.

Mr. Shers is right, but just to be clear, this is not an issue of habitability that would allow non-payment of rent.
