My landlord is selling the apt building so the they can make Condos am I entitled to any moving compensation for being forced to move?

It depends upon a number of factors, but generally no. If you have a month-to-month lease, then you can only legally have the expectation that you will live there one-month at a time. At any time, they can give you a thirty or sixty day notice, and terminate your tenancy. That is true regardless of what they do with the building. If you have a term lease, they have to honor that, or pay you compensation to leave early. There is a provision in the Subdivided Lands Act and Subdivision Map Act that does require a tenant impact report for certain types of conversions, but as a general rule, unless you have some legal expectation to live there for a longer period of time, you are going to get a termination notice, and that's about it.
