I'm not sure what you're asking. The landlord served you with a 3-day or 30-day notice. Then, if you did not comply, the landlord normally would file an unlawful detainer lawsuit. You would then have 5 days after service to file an answer with the court and serve it by mail on the landlord's attorney. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
