Does a landlord have a right to come over unannounced at any given time he likes?

In California, the landlord can come over, but only during reasonable hours. Without looking it up I think that means 8am to 6pm. The landlord also cannot enter the unit without "reasonable" notice, which is 24 hours or more, unless some condition or situation on the premises makes less notice reasonable. So if a pipe bursts in your unit and is flooding everyone downstairs, basically no notice is OK.
