Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

lanlord tennant disputes

My lanlord gave me 60 day to quit notice. Claims she sent a rent increase by mail and certified mail. which i recieved neither and she cannot prove i recieved the cert. letter from post office. we also sent her a list of repairs which she claimed that she could not read (she never contacted me about it, we heard it from our neighbor)and no action has been taken yet. this lanlord just bought the building 5 months ago. the only contact I have had with her was when she called to ask why i did not pay the rent increase. My girlfriend and I are the legal occupants and my girlfriend is a co sighner on her daughters apartment next door. what rights do we have?

If you have been there over a year, she does not need a reason to evict you.

I am not sure what you mean by "legal occupants". Also, the fact that your girlfriend is a cosigner means nothing.

I cannot see where any of your rights are violated. Sorry!
