Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Late fees and eviction

We were served with a three day notice to pay rent or quit for late fees. On the notice the owner stated that it was for late fees. Is this legal and how do we defend against it?

Re: Late fees and eviction

Is this commercial or residential? Does the lease state that late fees are deemed rent? Please contact our office at 714 363 0220 if you want us to review your documentation and provide you with consultation.
