Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

We just learned that we have a registered sex offender living in an apartment at our home. We had given him notice, over other issues, to vacate 2 months ago and he is still here. Now we find this out on top of that. Is there anything we can do to get him out TODAY? I have just learned that isn't required he tell us he is a registered sex offender. I am in a state of disbelief that that is true. I am fairly freaked out and can't imagine having him on our property for another minute, let alone the time it may take to get him removed through legal channels. Please let me know if there is any other recourse for us in this insane situation we have learned we are in.

Thank you

Perhaps it might be calming to know that there are different levels of sex offenses that are, nevertheless, criminalized. Some are much less serious crimes than others. It would be worthwhile to investigate a bit more to find out what, specifically, the person was convicted of doing.

As for landlord/tenant law, there is nothing legally a person can do to have a registered sex offender evicted unless the person commits a similar crime.
