lease agreement

the landlord says they provide Security, we have being robbed twice in 2 weeks, and the landlords know that our building has being targeted for at least the last 6 months which we learned from the police, do we have grounds to break lease?

An implied covenant in your lease is the "quiet enjoyment" of your property. Evidently, the landlord is not concerned with it. You take a risk, of course, by breaking your lease that your landlord will sue you for the difference -- at least until the landlord could re-lease the apartment. If you do so, make sure you put your concerns in writing in a certified, return receipt letter (keep a copy).
