If a lease is coming to an end, is the landlord required to give 30 days notice of a rental increase to the tenant?

Your rental/lease agreement should have the terms and requirements for renewing the lease. If not and there was no renewal but you are still living there (without a lease agreement) your tenancy is now month-to-month and an increase in rent is generally allowed.
