Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Lease Extension

I have signed(4 days back) new lease extension for another 6 months, which comes into effect from next month onwards(after 20 days).

Am i allowed to cancel my new lease extension as it was not in effect yet?

Re: Lease Extension

Once you have signed the contract, it is legally binding. Even if it is not yet fully executed as the date of the renewed lease has not yet passed, there may be a liquidated damages clause if you breach the contract. You will need to have somebody review that for you who is more familiar with your situation.
