Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I leased an apartment where in order for me to obtain it I had to establish a allotment threw the military for my fiance. When I signed the lease the landlord stated that when My fiance returned from deployment he would be added. He returned signed a adendomed stating if he deployed again I would be responsible for the rent. 7 months later we need to relocate accross th state due to the fact he is being discharged not deployed. We obatined an order to terminate the lease. But the landlord does not want to except it because she stated we are not married and I will still be held resposible. It was not an issue that we were married to begin with. She is making an issue of it now. Is there anything I can do to terminate my lease.
