Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

lease/rental question

I live in a duplex where the rent comes on a monthly bill with the utilities itemized. I have never recieved a bill with the utilities on there, and I informed my landlord right off the bat. Can they back bill me?

Re: lease/rental question

I cannot answer this.

Read your lease, and you'll have an answer.

I would doubt that the landlord can back bill you, however.

You may want to have an attorney write letter for you. I have found that an attorney's letter works more often than not.

Please e-mail me if you need more.
