Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I am leasing a property from Fannie Mae and the previous owners that were foreclosed on August 31, 2012 have been harassing and slandering me and threatening to sue me for cleaning up their hording mess after they moved. They are calling Fannie Mae trying to get me evicted for no reason. I am disabled and have no where to go and no money to move. PLEASE HELP.

If you're a new lessor post-foreclosure, it seems that you're entitled to habitable property. Most likely the owner had followed California law and gave the foreclosed parties a deadline by which to remove their stuff. Their beef, if any, would be with the new owner for, perhaps, not doing that. You might have to just have a legal professional intervene on your behalf. In many areas there are low- or no-cost tenant legal clinics which have lawyers to help tenants enforce their legal rights. I encourage you to have a legal professional on your side.
