Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Is it legal for Homeowner's associations to ask for a copy of your lease if you are renting your condominium? I do see rules on the CCR that require a lease, etc., but nowhere does it state that I have to give the HOA a copy of the lease.

Thank you

It is not unreasonable for the HOA to ask to see a copy to determine that you are not permitting activities not allowed by the CC&R's. If there is nothing in the CC&R's stating they can see a copy, perhaps they ar not entitled to demand a copy, but they might go to your tenant to ask to see their copy. Is it worthwhile to spend the time to fight over this?

If the CC&R's require a lease, how exactly are you going to prove you have a lease without showing them?
