Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I currently live in an apartment complex which is undergoing a major renovation. There is loud banging and noisy workers heard all day long. This also was a secured gated building but since the renovation all the gates have been removed. Can I move out asap or do I still need to give a 30 days notice?

You need to give 30-days notice, but I would recommend meeting with the management who may be happy to have a unit open and available for remodeling. Also, while you must give 30-days notice and pay rent accordingly, you are certain free to vacate at an earlier point in time.
