Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I live in an apartment and the management company has hired a contractor to replace the roof. The roofers put a hole in my daughters ceiling while she was napping and now I am going to have to take time off of work to stay home and let a repair person in to fix the hole. Is there anything I should do legally? Our lease is almost up and I would have a hard time if the management tried to raise our rent after their hired contractor made such an error.

You need to report this to the management company. The contractor broke it , contractor fixes it you should not have to fix it, and landlord should not have to pay for it either.. Don't see how your rent raises over this...
