Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I live in a one bedroom apartment in a complex of 20 units in California. The property management company recently installed flood lights that make my bedroom extremely bright all night. When I asked about it I was told it was to protect the cars around the complex. They refuse to remove the lights, despite the fact I told them it is interfering with my quality of life. Is there anything I can do?

Can the management company install blackout curtains or shades that won't interfere with air flow? That's a reasonable request. Technology these days should be much improved to record video in dark conditions. However, it appears they believe that illumination will deter vandalism and theft.
