Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I live in California and have a rental property in Charlotte, NC. My property manager called me this morning and apparently one of the tenants was dealing drugs. The police raided the house, the tenants flushed their stash, and I believe the police ripped up the plumbing/pipes to catch the evidence (and I believe they did). Currently I am not sure if the police had a warrant or not. My property management company has started working on the eviction process for the tenant.

Do I have any recourse with the police department and/or the tenant? And what is the process?

Repost to North Carolina attorneys - this is not a matter of California law. My guess, however, is that you are completely out of luck. On second thought, find and hire a North Carolina attorney immediately - don't bother trying to get a free opinion here - you need immediate, concrete legal advice as some states have forfeiture laws if the tenants have been found to have been in possession of, or dealing drugs. Your problems could be more severe than who is going to pay to fix the house.
