Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I have lived in a home that my father owns for 27 years (most of that has been rent free) I got married 8 1/2 years ago. My husband and I are now splitting. I have asked him to leave and go stay with a friend. He says that since this is his "legal residence" I cannot make him leave and I need to go through an eviction process. I do not want to get my dad involved in this mess. What are my legal options?

Sounds like a problem for the family law lawyers. Why don't you re--post it their area because it has to do with divorce and it will end up in your family law case anyhow.
