Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

living in a garage

We have neighbors and they have a garage and use it to rent it out . it has two windows facing our pool and we have no privacy at all. People are always moving in and out of this garage that should be for cars not for living what can i do!?

You might report it to the county/city building department. My guess is that they don't have a residential permit, and the department will make the owners convert it back to a garage.

While I normally agree with Mr. Cohen, I do not see enough to make a big stink about it.

You may have to be neighbors with these people for many years.
