Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

How long before I can be officially kicked out of home?

I live with my (now ex) girlfriend and pay rent, but I've always paid in cash and have no receipts or carbon check copies of rent money. I do have a few things (small furniture, clothes, books, dvds, etc) at the place in such a manner that it is represented I've lived here for quite a while.

She is giving me a total of 30 days to get out as only her name is on the lease and she says 30 days is being nice and could actually kick me out sooner if she wished.

How much time (if any) can I legally get (obtaining a new place to rent sometimes takes longer than 30 days).

Based on the fact that you've lived there on a month to month tenancy, you have 30 days to leave, if you're not on the lease. Good luck.
