Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Loss of Use
We were part of a mandatory evacuation in our area due to fire. We were out of our dwelling for 10 days. Since we provided for housing else where during that time, are we liable to pay rent for the time we were not in the house?

Re: Loss of Use
IF your landlord provided you with the alternate housing then you owe your rent, otherwise you do not for the time you were out.
