Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I have what I believe is mold, a black spot on my carpet 7" in diameter, in my apartment from a leak in the wall, the moisture damage is visible. I notified my landlord 36 days ago and nothing has been done about it. Mold is not specifically mentioned in Civil Code 1941.1 so how do I know it is covered under this code? Also since it has been over 30 days can I legally break my lease under Civil Code 1942?

Not if you have not gotten a health dept. citation for remediation.
