do i get money?
Our landlord has put the house we live in on the market to sell.He let us know that when he gets an offer he will give a 2month notice.A friend of mine told me he needs to pay me to move because he is making aprofit from selling.So could i put a lien on him? and if so where do i begin?

To answer many legal questions, one usually must first start with logic and common sense [that does not always work because it is politicians who make the laws, frequently not because of a sense of fairness]. Why should the landlord have to pay you anything when they sell property they own and you merely are paying them money to use for a period of time? If the landlord has a standard mortgage on the property, their interest payments, taxes, insurance, up keep, etc., are probably greater than the rent you pay. If the house, for example was worth on purchase $450,000, the owner had to put about 10% down [$45,000]and pay a few thousand in closing costs. Real property taxes will be about $6,000, mortgage payments at least $2,000 a month in interest alone. So owning the house costs the landlord over $3,000 a month. Are you paying rent of $3,000 per month? So you begin by asking yourself why are you being so greedy.
